La principessa del regno del sole 〜

The Princess of the Land of the Sun ~Innocent Princess~

kenka bakari shite PAPA to MAMA wa,
o-isha-san no susume ni shitagatte keiyakusha ni SAIN shita.
Koushite, umarete kara ichido mo soto e denakatta watashi wa,

“Because I was born with crippled limbs,
My mother and father, who were always fighting,
Followed the doctor’s advice and signed a contract.
Then I, who had never once gone outside since birth,
Approaching my eleventh birthday in the hospital room,
For the first time got a body that could move freely.
So I like life at the Agency very much…”

watashi no okiniiri [la mia cosa favorita] → asa no seihitsu no kuuki
watashi no okiniiri [la mia cosa favorita] → senzai no kaori
watashi no okiniiri [la mia cosa favorita] → sora to kumo to taiyou to
watashi no okiniiri [la mia cosa favorita] → jiyuu na karada

My favorite thing → the peaceful morning air
My favorite thing → the smell of detergent
My favorite thing → the sky and the clouds and the sun and
My favorite thing → my free body

aa… sorera subete wa byoushitsu no BEDDO no ue ni

Ah… all of those are things that
Ah… were not there in my hospital bed — I’m happy

“Watashi-tachi ni wa, sorezore kousha no otona no hito ga tantou ni tsuite iru
kunren de mo shigoto de mo itsumo issho no de,
futari matomete FURATERRO to nadzukerareta.
‘FURATERRO’… sore wa kyoudai to iu imi da…”

“Each of us is placed in the charge of one of the adults at the Agency.
During training and jobs, we’re always together
The two of us are called ‘fratello.’
‘Fratello’… that means ‘siblings’…”

keijika no ansatsu genba no shitami
tousou keiro no kakunin sore mo shigoto no uchi

Scoping out the location for the politician’s assassination
Checking the escape route — that’s part of the job

uraguchi de deatta shounen wa nanotta
kare no na wa EMIRIO totemo yoku shaberu

The boy I met by the back entrance introduced himself
His name was Emilio — we had a nice conversation

watashi wa uso o tsuite wa inai kedo kare o damashite iru no darou ka
AMAATI no VAIORIN [violino] da to kare ga kanchigai shita no wa juu [fucile]
– sore ga watashi no shigoto dougu da…

I didn’t tell any lies, but I may have deceived him
The thing he mistook for an Amati violin was my gun
– that’s the tool for my job…

“Moshi shigoto-juu dareka ni sugata o miraretara… kanarazu korose”
– to JAAN-san wa itta…

“If someone sees you while you’re on a job… be sure to kill them”
– Jean said
When I finished the job and was leaving the room, I met Emilio
“Um… what is it you say at a time like this… oh, that’s right… I’m sorry.”

“Asa me ga sameru tabi, ichiban ki ni naru koto ga aru
Sore wa, kyou mo jibun no karada ga chanto sonzai suru ka to iu koto…”

“When I wake up in the morning, there’s one thing on my mind
That is, that my body is still there today…”

shishi o ushinau yume o mite nakinagara okiru kono kyoufu ga wakarimasu ka?

Thank goodness ← it moves → having a free body → is a wonderful thing
I dream that I lose my limbs, and wake up crying — can you understand that fear?

shizuminagara mo miageta minamo kara sashikomu hi no hikari utakata no gensou [yume]

The sunlight shining in from the water’s surface I look up at even while sinking, a transient illusion [dream]
The ideal [dream] shimmering high above the water’s surface I look up at even while floating
The princess of the Land of the Sun runs across the twilight-stained beach

“Jiyuu na karada. Yasashii hito-tachi. Tanoshii mainichi.

“A free body. Kind people. Happy days.
I really like living here, at the Social Welfare Agency…”
