Tasogare no Kenja [Savant] – The Twilight Sage

watashi ga hajimete kare to deatta no wa… aru haru no hi no tasogare… sabireta kougai no kouen datta…

His name was Sage [Savant]
To be accurate, that was only a nickname, as his real name was completely unknown…
The first time I met him was… that spring evening… in a deserted park on the outskirts of town…

(“Mademoiselle, why the long face? What’s troubling you?
The number of times you’ve walked around that fountain so far is eleven times
In number of steps, that’s roughly 704 steps, and in distance it’s in fact 337 meters
May I make a foolish proposal?
I would like to be your conversation partner”)

To have the baby ←→ or not to have the baby
That is the question… the greatest question, if I may say so
Happy mornings… sad evenings… they are all yours
A song [story] that links you with many unknown people… a story that sparks a song…

Roman…

When the {windmill} keeps turning, a {beautiful} illusion is quietly spun
Outside the flickering of the {flames}, foolish ones reach out their {arms}
If they grasp many {jewels}, they will continue to wander in the gap between {morning and evening}
In the glittering of the {stardust} sand, the {wine} shows its sweet intoxication
From the cage evaded by the {sage}, they ask the true intention of the {message}
When the {angel} bids farewell, the {horizon} knows the fifth story
Roman…
