Wollust

Lust

(“yoiyami ni kuchita rakuen. tsurusareta shikabane-tachi.
kimi wa naze kono kyoukai o koete shimatta no ka?
saa utatte goran…”)

(“A paradise that has rotted in the twilight. Hanging corpses.
How did you come to cross this boundary?
Now, sing for me…”)

oboroge na… kioku o… tadotte
aimai na… jibun o… egaita
donna… kao de… warai… donna… koe de… utatta no ka…
okiniiri no… shiroi… kashokui [Kleid] ga… naze… konna ni… akai no ka

Following… my faint… memories…
I painted… a vague picture… of myself
What did my face look like when I smiled?… What did my voice sound like when I sang?…
Why is… my favorite white flowered dress… all red…?

aa… sou da… watashi wa…
kare ni… korosareta n’dat… ta…

Ah… that’s right… I was…
Killed… by hi… m…

hakushaku wa itsu kara ka aohige to yobarete ita
shimitsuita tetsu no nioi to chi no nioi no sei kashira?

The count had been called Bluebeard since who knows when
At least, he was already called that when I married him
His gaze was so kind, but it was tinged with darkness
Was it because it was stained with the scent of iron and blood?

aa otto wa watashi o aishite’nai kidzukanai furi shite kita keredo
mou kore ijou wa itsuwarenai watashi wa dare yori mo aishite ita kara

Ah, I tried to pretend I didn’t notice that my husband didn’t love me
But I can’t lie to myself anymore, because I loved him more than anyone else

sugisatta kisetsu no nagai yoru no naka de anata no hitomi no oku de
dakarete ita no wa aisarete ita no wa hontou wa dare na no kashira?

In the long nights of past seasons, who was it really
Who was held, who was loved in your eyes?

kesshite modosenai kisetsu mo nagai yami no naka de kinjirareta heya no oku de
samishisa umeru you ni munashisa moyasu you ni futei [iro] no tsumi o kasaneta aa

In the long darkness of those seasons which will never return, in a forbidden room
As if to bury my loneliness, as if to burn up my emptiness, I committed the sin of lust time after time

“Was I simply angry that she broke our vows,
Or was it that I loved her after all? I don’t know, even now.”

“saisho no tsuma o koroshita toki risei mo tomo ni shinda no ka
atarashii tsuma o metotte wa okashi okashite wa koroshita…”

“When I killed my first wife, did my reason die with her?
I would take a new wife and violate her, and having violated her, would kill her…”

(“anata!”
“fun!”
“yamete!”
“fuhahaha! yurushi ga hoshii ka?”
“Aa!”
“hizamazuke! suware! suware!”
“a…a…”
“fuhahaha!”
“aa! oyamekudasai!”
“saa, tatetsuke”
“onegai shimasu… oyamekudasai, iya iya daa”
“sou da! nake! wameke!”
“iya! kurushii… aa…”)

“Dear!”
“Heh!”
“Stop!”
“Fuhahaha! Do you want to be forgiven?”
“Ah!”
“On your knees! Down! Down!”
“Ah! Aaaa…”
“Fuhahaha!”
“Ah! Stop, please!”
“Yes, struggle!”
“Please, I’m begging you… please stop! No! No!”
“That’s right! Cry! Scream!”
“No! It hurts… ah…”

dore hodo shinjite inotte mo sukutte nado kurenakatta…
tatoe aite ga kami de mo tada ana [loch] sae areba aa tsuranuite kureyou
watashi no yari de [Longinus]!

However much I believed and prayed, I wasn’t granted salvation
Even if I’m up against a god, if there’s a hole to be pierced, I’ll pierce it
With my Lance of Longinus!

(“kimi o majo to shite danzai shita onshirazu na butadomo o
watashi wa yurushi wa senu zo!”)

(“I’ll never forgive the ungrateful pigs
Who convicted you of witchcraft!”)

nagasareta chi wa yoiyami no nagasareru chi de aganau no sa.
saa fukushuugeki o hajimeyou ka”)

(“I see, so that is why you–all of you–were hanged.
The blood that has been spilled in this secret, forbidden room
Will be repaid in blood spilled in the twilight.
Now, then, shall we begin the revenge tragedy?”)

kare no rusu no ma ni takarabeya o mawaru
aketa koto no nai heya ga ki ni natte iru
musume no mimimoto de watashi wa kou sasayaita

While my husband wasn’t home, I looked through his treasure rooms
My attention was caught by one room I’d never looked inside
I whispered this into the girl’s ear:

“kin no kagi no kinjirareta heya ni wa
totteoki no takaramono ga kakusarete iru wa…”

“The forbidden room locked with the golden key
Has a fabulous treasure hidden inside it…”

sou sono kagiana ni iretara mawaseba ii
mou sugu dechau desho watashi-tachi no shitai to shoudou [Id]

Yes, put the key in the keyhole and turn it
Soon you’ll see them: our corpses and our Id’s impulse for revenge

(“kyaaaaaaaa!”)

(“Eeeeeeeek!”)

aa onna ga hontou ni daite hoshii no wa shitai [karada] de wa naku tamashii [kokoro] na no yo
tsumi na hito ne demo itoshii hito

Ah, what women want is for men to embrace not only their bodies, but also their hearts and souls
He is a sinful person, but he is dear to me

(“himitsu no heya no kagi wa doko da ne?”
“eeto…ano…sono…”
“hohoo…watashi no meirei ni somuita ka”
“e!?”
“yokarou sonna ni mitakereba isso kurete yaru kyou kara omae mo ano heya no juunin da”
“semete shinu mae ni o-inori o sasete itadakitou zonjimasu!”
“hahaha, yokarou”)

(“Where is the key to my secret room?”
“Well… er… that’s…”
“Hoho… so you’ve disobeyed my order?”
“Eh!?”
“Very well, since you were so resolved to see it, you may go in and take your place among the ladies there!”
“At least, before I die, give me some little time to say my prayers!”
“Hahaha, very well.”)

(“tasukete! nii-san! kite!”
“mada ka. hayaku shiro! hayaku shiro!”)

(“Help me! Brother! Come to me!”
“Are you not yet finished? Hurry up! Hurry up!”)

kanashimi wa nikushimi ja kesshite iyasenai wa
yoiyami ni uta ga hibiku dake
anata no kigeki o ima owari ni shiyou!

Sadness can never be healed by hate
The song merely echoes in the twilight
I will put an end to your comedy now!

(“eei! mou gaman naran!”
“nii-san!”
“kutabare! aohige!
“nanda to! kuso! bakemono ka koitsu!?”
“gue!”
“niisan! sa kocchi e!”
“Hii, nande konna koto ni…”)

(“Hey! I can’t wait any longer!”
“Brother!”
“Die, Bluebeard!”
[insert swordfighting sounds]
“What is this? Damn, is this man a monster?”
“Brother! Over here!”
“Haah, why did this have to happen…”)

(“fukushuu to iu no wa ibitsu na aijou no katachi na no kamo shirenai ne.”
“soredemo naze ningen tte ai to seiyoku o kirihanasenai no kashira? kimochi warui wa!”)

(“Maybe revenge is just a twisted form of love.”
“Even so, why can’t humans break free of love and lust? It sickens me!”)

Notes:

[1] Bluebeard, naturally.
