Vocaloid (Jin feat. Hatsune Miku & IA) – Konoha no Sekai Jijou

May 28, 2020

Konoha no Sekai Jijou – コノハの世界事情 – Konoha’s State of the World

imi to yume to inochi o atsumete
tsukurarete shimatta karada wa
owatta inochi o mushikaesu kikai rashii

This body that was made
By gathering up meaning and dreams and life
Is like a machine that’s reanimating a life long gone

“kore wa kare no mukashi no ohanashi”
hito hitori wa namida o nagashite
mata aitai to tsubuyaita

“This is the story of his past.”
Each and every one of them shed tears[1]
Murmuring, “I want to see you again”

haribote no machi no shuumatsu jikken wa
kinou jiten de yosoudoori gudaguda sugite
sono jiten de mou akirameta hou ga ii deshou?
tsugi no futari wa machi no sukima de
sonna mizuiro no yume mite’ta

The final experiment of this papier-mache town
Is continuing tediously, as predicted yesterday
Maybe I should’ve just given up at that point?
The next two people were dreaming a pale blue dream
Seen through the gaps in the city

kitai hazure no shasen no saki de
chiisa na karada wa mata tobichitta
nakisakebu shoujo o mezamenai boku wa mite ita
byoushin wa susumidasu no o yamete
sekai morotomo kuramidasou to suru
kono yume wa owaranai

Where a traffic lane ended unexpectedly,
His small body was sent flying again
I, who won’t wake up, was looking at the girl as she cried and screamed
As the second hand comes to a stop,
The whole world is dazzled
This dream won’t end

imi to yume to jitai o awasete
tadatada kangaete’ku atama
“kono sekai wa douyara sukoshi yabai rashii”

Bringing together meaning and dreams and circumstances,
This head does nothing but think.
“Seems like this world is kind of dangerous”

“kore wa kare to kanojo no ohanashi”
tsukurarete shimatta kokoro de wa
mou kotoba mo todokanai

“This is the story of that boy and that girl.”
With my artificially created heart,
My words won’t reach them anymore

kareru taiyou no oto museru entenka no me
natsubate shita seken ni hajikidasareta you na
semi no koe ga mou narihibiki hajimete mo
yurayura yureru sukeru karada ja
nobashita te mo todokanakute

The sound of the withering sun and the gaze of the steaming, blazing heat
Seem to have pushed me out among the heat-fatigued populace
The voices of the cicadas start to ring out
But with this wavering, transparent body,
My outstretched hand won’t reach them, either

kitai hazure no shikai no saki de
byoushin wa fuzakete tachidomatte
fumitsubuseru mirai o hantaishasen de mite ita
kikaijikake no sekai o nukete
konoha no ochiru mirai no fuukei e to
kimi no me de

Where my field of vision ended unexpectedly,
Someone messed with the second hand to make it stop
I saw the future get run over in the opposite lane
I’ll escape from this mechanical world
Into a future scene where leaves fall
With your eyes

kitai hazure no sekai no sukima
yohou hazure no ame ga futte kita
sono toki ni sono toki ni

Is there a future where the mocking rays of the sun go away
And August ends again and again
And they can smile at each other and say “See you next year”?
Where there was an unexpected gap in the world
It started to rain, though the forecast hadn’t predicted it
At that time, at that time–

tatoeba mirai ga kakikawatte ite mo
ano me wa

Even if the future could be rewritten
Those eyes–

Notes

[1] “Hito hitori” is a bit of an unusual construction that’s been little used outside of a particular well-known quote in which the founder of a university said in an address to the students, “諸君よ、人一人大事なり”, or “every single one of you is important/valuable.” I initially wanted to interpret it as “one person alone,” but the few previous usages are clearly plural.
